Song facts: “On The Road Again” was released in 1968, and became Canned Heat’s first record chart hit and one of their best-known songs. It was adapted by Alan Wilson from a song by Floyd Jones that was recorded in 1953. Wilson added a tambura drone to create a hypnotic and psychedelic effect within the song.
