The Tombo Octave is a double-hole harmonica. It comes in 32-hole and 42-hole versions. The 32 has a plastic comb, while the 42 has a wood comb. The 32 is only available in the key of C, but the 42 is available in many different keys. Both are octave-tuned and have shiny metallic cover plates. By using two reeds per note, both mouth harps create rich, full tones that are pleasant to the ear. For those used to simple diatonics, playing a Tombo Octave might be a little bit of a stretch. However, it is a fairly easy instrument to transition into playing. Casual players will also appreciate the fact that it has a reasonable price.
PROS
Nice sound quality
Good value for the price
CONS
Tone is not all that different from many other harps in this and lower price ranges
May be difficult to learn to play at first, especially for those used to standard diatonics
