The Suzuki Airwave is a large diatonic harmonica with large holes. It is rounded and has a plastic body. It is specifically designed for children, with no metal screws or sharp edges. While the reeds are brass like in many professional harmonicas, the Airwave is definitely not meant to be played by professionals. It can be fun to pull out an extra large harmonica when you play a gig, but they are mainly meant to be teaching tools for children. The Airwave is inexpensive, and it comes in several bright colors that kids will love. So, it’s a good addition to any school music class.
PROS
Great teaching tool for kids
