The Seydel Blues Solist Pro diatonic harmonica utilizes German silver reed plates, like several other Seydel models. Those reed plates make the harmonica airtight, which means that notes take less air to play. The wooden body also adds to the nice sound of this harmonica. If you are interested in playing the blues, you will love the fact that this harmonica comes in 20 keys. So, the model offers some versatility. However, the reeds have a tendency to break within a month or so, which means that this isn’t the most reliable harp. Therefore, even though it’s marketed as a “pro” harp, it’s better suited to casual players.
PROS
Requires very little air to play
Nice sound for the price
CONS
Reeds break easily, which makes it not suitable for professional play
