The Seydel Blues Session Standard is a nice little diatonic harmonica. It has stainless steel covers and a plastic comb. The blow note of hole 3 has been raised. So, this harmonica is a little unusual. There is a reason for that. It makes this harmonica fun for playing Celtic music. Although it is called the Blues Session Standard, it’s actually not the best harmonica for playing the blues, but it does have a nice tone. Unfortunately, the reeds may not last long, but they can be replaced. So, as an inexpensive diatonic, this is a nice practice instrument, especially if you enjoy playing Celtic or folk music.
PROS
Good sound for the money
Nice for playing folk music
CONS
Reeds break easily
Not good for playing blues music
