The Hohner Silver Star is a 20-reed diatonic available in 7 different keys. It has a plastic comb and recessed reed plates. It also features an easy-maintenance screw assembly. Although it’s a nice harmonica for the cost, it isn’t really built to go the distance. If you want a fun harp to play on for a few dollars, this is a good one. If you want to seriously learn how to play, you’ll find that the higher notes are hard to play on this model and it might go flat after a short time. It may be better to spend a few extra dollars and invest in a model that is a little more sturdy, such as the Special 20.
PROS
Inexpensive
Easy to learn to play
CONS
Difficult to play the higher notes
May go flat quickly
