The Hohner Blues Bender is a low-end harmonica. It doesn’t feature the same quality as many other Hohner models. However, it is an inexpensive option for beginners that want to practice. If features 20 brass reeds, but they have a thinner sound than higher-end models. They are also easy to warp, if you grip the harp too tight. The stainless steel acoustic covers and thick reed plates offer this model some protection from damage, but it’s still not designed to really go the distance. So, if you plan to play at serious venues, you shouldn’t even consider a Blues Bender. Nevertheless, if you want to learn the basics of how to play the harmonica, it’s a good, inexpensive choice.
PROS
Easy for beginners to learn basics
CONS
Thin sound
