Larry Adler (born in Maryland, February 10, 1914 – August 6, 2001) was one the world’s most skilled players, a god among harmonica players. Besides performing transcriptions of classical violin works, composers such as Darius Milhaud and Ralph Vaughn Williams composed works written specifically for Larry. He collaborated with musicians such as Sting and Elton John, and he always performed in a suit and tie. It’s hard to pick one favorite, but here’s “Rhapsody in Blue” … Enjoy!
