Jerry Portnoy (born in Illinois on November 25, 1943) is a blues harp player known for his rich, fat tones, akin to those of an alto saxophone. He recorded and toured internationally with the Muddy Waters Blues Band, the Legendary Blues Band, and Eric Clapton and has recorded with many other blues artists. Jerry Portnoy is the blues … as pure as you can get them!
